I am glad you like it!! Well it was very, very hard. I actually showed her a picture and said if you had this puppy what would you name it? We went round and round (every name I chose or she chose is a friend at school's name)! Then she said if the dog is black (her best friend is black and name is Jalynn) she wanted to name her that. I told her she needed to find a name that wasn't her friend's name. (you won't believe the names children have these days). Then I wouldn't say anything for a few days and when I asked her again (she would poo poo me) since she does not think we can have a dog. She was then getting frustrated with me. Then she said "Pepper". I said isn't Pepper a boy's name? She then said "how about salt". Oh goodness. Well then the next couple of times we talked about it, she said I like Pepper for a girl's name. I thought now I won't say anything to her about it again until we get out of the car at that airport. She is just going to be soo excited. I am really looking forward to her coming home. Lara

We delivered the Puppy on December 21st.

This picture on the right is of Pepper at almost 3 months,(from the story above), on December 22nd just before driving her down to LA to be with this special family. It was extremely hard to let go her go after spending so much time with her.

Here is a cute story about one of our adopters and how she was able to get her daughter to give a puppy, she doesn't know she's getting, a name without giving away the surprise. The puppy was delivered personally on December 22, 2000.
This all started when we decided that Lara, although living far away, was perfect for one of our Schnauzer Puppies. Now we had to decide how to get her down to Southern California. A friend who always drives down south to see his kids all of a sudden had a change of plans. We do not like to fly them and rarely will consider doing so unless we fly the puppy on a friends plane ourselves. In the end, we decided to drive her down and spend Christmas with family and go to Disney Land.

Little Miss Black Pepper. Very Cute. I like it. I'd love to hear how you got your Daughter to help pick a name for an imaginary puppy. In fact, if it's good, I'd like to publish on our site. What do you think??
