Removing hairs down in the ear canal.
The hardest thing about removing these hairs is the feeling that you are going to hurt the dog. Grab the right hairs and they will not feel it.
Take a pair of needle nose pliers and grab the hairs that are growing from way down in the ear canal. If you can see where the hair is attached, then these most likely are not the hairs in question.
Once you have a firm grip on the hairs just pull straight up and out of the ear canal. You can do this in one quick motion. This will not hurt the dog.
It would appear that the roots of the hair have little to no nerve sensitivity. When these hairs are allowed to grow for an extended period of time they will be matted together and covered with ear wax. Same removal procedure.
